Sounds great, but I’d prefer instead if they’d stop calling and mailing me, asking me to come back. HELL NO I DONT WANT YOUR SERVICE LEAVE ME ALONE.
Seriously, ugh.

i like it for free, but no way would i pay for it. Same songs playing on repeat constantly for what 20$ a month.
Yeah, that’s not happening.

Speaking of 90s on 9, It wasn’t until I heard 90s songs on the local “Classic Rock” channel that I was reminded again that “Fuck, the 90s were 3 decades ago”

When a former coworker of mine heard The Cranberries on the classic rock station I thought he was going to break down into tears and that was around 2010.

That’s why i don’t pay for Sirius, why pay for the music I already paid for 30 years ago....

Then spend the rest of your life trying to cancel, stay canceled, and dispute false credit card charges.
Kids: this is what dealing with multiple competing telephone landline companies used to feel like. Sirius XM stole their playbook.

My wife has a subscription for her car because she really likes some of the stations but it drives me nuts because we live in an area with hills and valleys and are far enough north that those make the signal cut out all of the time.

Get ready, though. You try it for free for awhile, then they hound you to join.
Seriously, I bought a used car that has a Sirius radio in it. I NEVER had a Sirius account. Since then, I have received so many junk letters and spam calls asking me to “come back for a special offer” and “sign back up now or we’ll delete your account”. GOOD, DELETE ME. Nope, they don’t.
I did finally get them to stop calling. I had to call them directly and tell them to stop contacting me. The lady gladly put me on their do-not-call list. She did NOT, however, remove me from their mailing list.

Fun thing about SiriusXM: they will always give you a discount if you threaten to cancel. I don’t want to pay $20 a month, but I don’t mind paying $30 for 6 months. Every 6 months I just call to cancel again, get the same deal. It’s not a bad service for $5 a month.

I had Sirius until about 6 years ago. The only way that I got them to leave me alone was to tell them that I sold my car and no longer drive.
Last year I bought my Fiat and it had built in satellite radio. I got a free trial, called to cancel, and got 6 months for $30. 6 months later, called to cancel, got the same deal. It’s not terrible for $5 a month.

Still doesn’t work with Google Home. I’m down to my last subscription (in the car) and switched to Spotify in the house. Not perfect using playlists, but damn it’s way easier than the app in my Onkyo receiver.
(I tried casting my entire phone w/the SXM app, but still too much of a pain)

Cancel is the magic word. I’m not kidding.
Just mention “cancel” when you re-up and you’ll get a discount.

I wonder if they’d give me my $5 back for this month. Additional note, it’s free on line without signing up or inputting ANYTHING so listen there as well

This is exactly what I do. I am very happy with the service at $5 a month. If I could I WOULD sign a contract for 2 years at $5/month...but they won’t do that. So every six months I call in threaten and reup at $5 per.
